Gandhi museum opens up in New Jersey
In the coastal city of Atlantic City, USA, a newly inaugurated museum is dedicated to the life and teachings of Mahatma Gandhi. Unveiled over the weekend, the museum boasts a collection of artifacts and interactive digital display screens, allowing visitors to actively engage with the significant events in the life of the apostle of peace.
Notable members of the Indian American community and Randhir Jaiswal, India’s Consul General in New York, attended the event. Established through collaboration between the Gandhian Society based in New Jersey and the Aditya Birla Group, this museum marks the first of its kind dedicated to the “father of the nation” in the United States.
The museum, developed in partnership with the Aditya Birla Group, is anticipated to collaborate with the Martin Luther King Foundation to showcase the life and messages of these two prominent figures of the modern era, according to a media release.
In his remarks, Jaiswal praised the efforts of the Gandhian Society and its founder, Bhadra Butala, for this initiative. He also commended the Birla Group for bringing this unique museum dedicated to Mahatma Gandhi to the United States.
